I say go for it if you don't care about getting enigma as soon as you possibly can.
It can still be VERY fun and rewarding though. It can be done, its just not as efficient as a sorc. Took me about a month (but that could vary wildly depending on luck and how much you play in a day). I once mained a windy druid and ran AT, pits, and chaos till I got enigma. Sorc will still beat you because teleport is overpowered, but it can be done. So I have the runes necessary to make an Enigma as well as a 3 socket Mage Plate, however I am a bit hesitant because I have gotten the impression that most people want an Enigma Dusk. Chaos is great if you have the survivability. I wouldn't try pits or AT on a hammerdin especially without enigma. Outside of cows anywhere with open space and decent area level is fine. But be prepared to do cows till your eyes bleed. You would be able to get enough from there to trade for the runes you need (or if you are insanely lucky they will just drop). I'm assuming you'll do hammerdin, right? The other builds aren't really viable without pretty decent gear, and will never mf as well anyway.įor hammderin, you can star farming cows pretty easily.
